Representing the United States at WorldSkills in Cyber Security

Jason McGee discovered his talent in cybersecurity while he was attending the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) in Mesa, Ariz. His passion for the trade was fueled by his experience at the Arizona Cyber Warfare Range, which he claims was an incredibly helpful resource in his cyber security learning.

Jason’s favorite cybersecurity skill is hacking. His dream job would be a position in freelance ethical hacking, and this aspiration drives him to train and perfect his talents. After WorldSkills, Jason plans to continue college and work towards being hired by a U.S. government agency.

Jason would advise those wanting to train in cybersecurity to gain as much experience as they possibly can.

“The whole world of cybersecurity is based around skill and experience in the craft. If you have little experience, your systems will have less security.”

Jason is very excited to take part in this year’s WorldSkills competition and is honored to be representing the United States.
