Diman Grad Daylan Torres Showing Off Baking Skills Around the Globe
One could say Daylan Torres’ baking and pastry talents are sandwiched between two continents: he recently competed in Chongqing, China, and next month, he’s headed to Kazan, Russia, for another competition.
Torres, a resident of Dartmouth and 2016 graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, is in the final stretch of pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Baking and Pastry at Johnson and Wales University. A seasoned competitor with SkillsUSA, Torres in the midst of a year-long commitment with SkillsUSA WorldTeam, a place he earned at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference last summer. Over the past few years, Torres has racked up gold medals at the various SkillsUSA competitions.
